Colorado Charitable Tax Benefit
The state of Colorado offers a charitable tax benefit if you claim the basic standard deduction on their federal income tax return and you give more than $500.
This allows you to subtract the amount of your donation from your income before calculating how much state tax you owe. This can reduce your overall state tax bill!
